About Cancer Council

Cancer Council Tasmania is a charity working to minimise the incidence and impact of all cancers for all Tasmanians through advocacy, raising awareness of cancer prevention and offering support and information for anyone affected by the disease. More than 11 Tasmanians are diagnosed with cancer each day – making our work vital to the health of the community.

More than 85% of everything we do is funded directly by the Tasmanian community through events like this one. Your fundraising pays for transport to treatment, counselling, practical support, local research, and prevention programs across the state. And every dollar stays in Tasmania.
