Do I need to run?
No, you can walk your 5km too! It’s completely up to you and based on your fitness level if you want to walk or run this 5km event. If you have been thinking about running maybe now's the time to start training.
Can only women participate?
We welcome participants of all genders, ages, backgrounds and levels of fitness. The Women’s 5km is all about raising vital funds for Cancer Council Tasmania to reduce the incidence and impact of cancer on any Tasmanian. Do it for your mum, sister, aunt, step-mum, grandma, colleague, best friend... All Of Us Against Cancer.
Is there an age limit to participate?
No - if you can walk or run or be pushed in pram or wheel chair, you are welcome to join in! Please note that in accordance with legislation, there are restrictions around fundraising. Please review the T&Cs for more details.
Where do I collect my Race Bib from?
- Wednesday 9 Sept 8am – 5pm
- Thursday 10 Sept 8am – 5pm
- Friday 11 Sept 8am – 6pm
- Saturday 12 Sept 8am – 2pm
Where do I collect my Fundraising Incentive Prize from?
Incentive allocations are updated weekly and will cease once available stock is exhausted, in accordance with event Terms and Conditions.
Collection Locations
Collection Point 1: Launceston Support Centre, 69 Howick St, South Launceston
From Thursday 27 August, until Tuesday 8 September.
Open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Collection Point 2: St Lukes Launceston, 93 Cimitiere St, Launceston
From Wednesday 9 September, until Saturday 12 September.
During Bib Collection trading hours.
Collection Point 3: Information/Merchandise Site, City Park Launceston
Sunday 13 September, from 8am to 11am
Collection Point 4: Launceston Support Centre, 69 Howick St, South Launceston
From Tuesday 15 September, until Friday 2 November.
Open Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Can I bring my dog to the event in Launceston?
Do I have to be in Tasmania to participate?
No, if you are interstate or overseas, you are still welcome to join in our virtual 5km walk/run.
Do I have to join as a team?
You can register as a team or an individual. You join or create your team after you have purchased your ticket/s in "Next Steps" following registration.
Do I have to register my training kilometres?
No, however we do encourage you to keep track of your training and fundraising on your Women's 5km Walk/Run online dashboard.

Are there any concessions on the registration fee?
Yes, there will be. Anyone needing a carer's registration for the 2026 event please contact Event Coordinator Sophie Avnell at savnell@cancertas.org.au
