This year there is an option to participate at the physical event or virtually from anywhere in Tasmania.
The Women’s 5K physical event sets out from Launceston’s City Park and through the city streets on Sunday 12 September 2021. Everyone is encouraged to come along and walk or run the event.
The Virtual Event is for the person who wants to participate in the Women’s 5K Walk Run from any location (other than Launceston CBD) anytime from Friday 10 – Sunday 12 September 2021. Whether you participate solo on your treadmill, with your team at the local running track or at the beach with you dog – the options are endless!
This event supports and encourages health awareness for all Tasmanians, and also raises vital funds for Cancer Council Tasmania’s support and research programs. Each year, the Women’s 5km Walk/Run brings together thousands of men, women and children of all ages, backgrounds, levels of fitness and accessibility in celebration and remembrance of life.
Cancer Council Tasmania has a mission to reduce the incidence and impact of cancer on all Tasmanians, and Women’s 5k Walk/Run also delivers on this mission – you can support and sponsor your friends and family to take part, or participate yourself! Join as a team or an individual – run with your work mates, or walk with your kids! Everyone is welcome to take part.
